Again, follow the brown tiles down the main corridor of the Great Big Town Mall. As of August 8th, this entire area is gone. The store at the end on the right was once a Soda Fountain/Malt type. Horse and Rider was to the left of that. I believe the store on the direct right was Lerner's(clothing store)

My mom used to take us to eat at that Soda Fountain Shop when we were at the mall until she got sick from a corn dog she ate there. It wasn't long after that when the shop closed. I can't remember if anything else ever moved in there.

SEEING THIS BRINGS BACK SO MANY WARM MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD! FROM 1970 THROUGH 1976 EVERY SATURDAY ME AND MY MOM AND DAD AND MY BROTHER AND SISTER WOULD GO TO BIG TOWN MALL . WE WOULD USUALLY ENTER THROUGH WOOLWORTHS. DOES EVERYONE REMEMBER THE TALKING EXOTIC BIRDS IN WOOLWORTHS? ALSO THE PUPPET SHOWS IN THE MALL . ALSO THE ARCADE GAMES! WE UED TO GET ALL OUR SHOOL CLOTHES AT JC PENNYS . I CAN STILL SMELL THE POPCORN AND THE SMELL OF NEW CLOTHES. MAN THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS !!

At the end of this hall outside there was a Wyatt's Cafeteria that gained national news around 1970 when a gunman killed people and held hostages in the kitchen.
