  Like I said my reply to your comment in the other gallery, nobody knows for sure what exactly they are, but I call 'em cells because there's quite a few of them and they're obscenely tiny.

  Too bad the doors have been removed. If they had a small round porthole in them (about 9 in diameter), I would be pretty sure they may have been rooms that a patient would be put into to calm down.

  these might even have been dormatory rooms, they used to keep some of the population segregated

  These were the "anger" cells. The patients were put in here in a straitjacket and helmet so when they banged their heads against the wall they wouldn't hurt themselves. The cells are small so they couldn't run and smash into a wall or the door.
