  It is not a transformer, it is a meter base for a revenue meter. The meter mounts in the top where the five vertical slots provide the electrical connections. In the bottom are disconnect switches operable by those rods that stick out the lower right side of the enclosure.

  Hm A JAW CLAMPING LEAVER BYPASS RINGLESS meter socket 320 class?? .I thought all they used in Canada was RING STYLE meter sockets. I the states they use a lot of JAW CLAMPING LEAVER BYPASS meter sockets. To pull a meter you have to lift the leaver till it stops while holding the meter because it will fall out. To install a new meter you reverse the process. Those jaws put 50 POUNDS of pressure on each spade of a meter which= a superior electrical connection.

  Looking closer at this photo it looks like 200 amp service with dual 100 amp disconnects. The meter socket guts with the leaver looks to be made by DUNCAN.
