This bell is probably one of the most interesting artifacts to have survived from the facilities at Rideau Junction. After the roundhouse was demolished in 1921, the bell was recovered and used at St. John's Anglican Church which once stood next to Merivale United Church. The church is now situated on Slack Road, and the bell was moved to the cemetery there. According to someone who grew up here in the 30's, the bell does not appear to be from a locomotive. More research is required!
