That water tank had been lowered lately to be repainted and since then it is sitting in the back alley/parking !

Close. It's here, I think. It's quite the relic. You see these on top of almost every significant building in pictures from the 30s. That thing's at least 70 years old.

That other tower was a light beam which I think ran until they put the revolving lights on top of Place Ville Marie, maybe longer....

the revolving light on pvm was the subject of a report on pulse news about 10 years back it is still owned to this day by the royal bank and was moved from the old head office on st-james

I also heared that there was a visual barometer with lights in sq Phillips area. Was visible from good distance. I'll find out.
