the tower was only built when the viaduct to central station was built, im thinking this is the de leglise bridge though. the high tension line along the canal deviated from the canal around atwater, its visible in this picture, which means not wellington

also notice there is a building looking like the malt plant right where the turning basin should be, we also see the unloading derrick that we have seen in other pics of the malt plant. its also showing the curve to the right, very visible at church avenue

The original bridge was a swivel. It ended up being a half bridge, and the canal narrowed there, when the Turcot Interchange was built.

So this wasn't a train bridge. You can actually see a horse crossing it. There used to be a train yard where Cabot street is now, but I don't think the tracks crossed the canal here.

You can see in this pic how the railyards of the day influenced the layout of this end of the Bonaventure.

yeah until about 1995 the train tracks comming along the side of the bonaventure used to get all the way to church. there were 2 box cars used by uva da vino every fall
