it said that it's impossible to access this bridge in the summer time but it's actually EASIER to access this bridge in the summer time...

well if I had a camera (and I know Nel.. a flashlight too!) I might actually go up inside the cabin and take some pics... (hint hint nel, if only someone would provide me with a camera for this purpose)

I always thought the next bridge downstream (at the end of Mill St) was called Black's Bridge. That's what my maps say anyway.

I heard that turning bridge was called black's bridge but who knows.. post one of those maps in a thread for this gallery mapman.

I would vote for this as my Dad worked at the Northern and they used to say things like "over by Black's Bridge" so maybe it had to have been in sight from Northern, Redpath, et al, or maybe they were talking about Mill street, LOLOL!

I've been wondering for years where Black's bridge was... asked one of my correspondents, and he replied as follows: "Going east on mill st. at the end is where the bridge used to be; the canal was filled-in and the bridge was removed."
