9 / 25   Lefebvrebrug I

Description
This is a very interesting bridge type. The actual bridge is in fact a lock door (I couldn't see whether it was a rolling or floating one. However, when the lock door is closed, a gap is left. In the other lock door, the Royenbrug, they arranged it so that the traffic had to run on the bridge sideways. Here they had a basculebridge which would lower when the lock door had closed, thus allowing traffic to run on the head end of the lock door.

The "ghosthouse" on the right was still inhabited.
