  Probably a form of carom or french billiards. Played with three balls, no pockets.

  No, DLNorton was closer. It's a carom billiard table, and the game they play is called four-ball.

  Right, a snooker table is huge, much bigger then that (the one here looks like to be smaller than the biggest pool tables you can get).

  Snooker table has pockets. They're tiny though.
