747? You HAD to be on the second floor. The seating is much wider, when did boeing have a 747 delivered to Iraq?

That's the second floor of a 747 where first class and the cockpit are. Iraqi Airlines had at least three 747-270C/SCD by 1991. Was it painted green and white? Also a 747SP-70 (that cames from Special Performance), a very short kind of 747, was found in the airport which was for government usage.

See, I thought too that every 747 had a raised deck. I was sure it's the only Boeing 700 series that has an upper deck.

Well theres a raised deck just not all the seats and or comfort area. They take all the stuff your looking at out. I should have been more sepecific.

Are they planning to fix up those planes? Or just scrap the stuff? Seems like a bloody waste if they do, but whatever, they're probably damned old at this point too.

I dont think they are worth a whole lot and they are pretty damaged. Probably spare parts.
