How were you guys able to walk across it? Did you do it illegally or something? Or did they have a day that people were allowed to see it? I had no idea there was a mono rail until today and now I'm fascinated by it. Where is the best place to see the remains of it now? I saw something recently when I was last there and it looked like tracks (it was to park strollers or something) and I was like "this looks like there used to be a train here" and I was like why is this here? Now I know.

A lot of urban exploration is illegal, the zoo does not allow people on for their own safety. The monorail closed due to an accident in the early nineties, a monorail car lost power at the top of a hill, rolled backwards and slammed another car at the bottom.
