Pass it on: Ransom Edwards (right) of Jackson, Tenn., representing patients in Sections C, D and E of Ward Three at Veterans Hospital No. 88 on E.H. Crump Blvd., presented a Christmas gift of $43 in 1952 to Gray Ladies who serve them. Mrs. John Carney Sr. (left) of 3363 Lakeview Road and Mrs. Joe Burns, 101796 Crump Ave., accepted the gift on behalf of the Gray Ladies, but later turned it over to The Commercial Appeal-American Legion Christmas Basket Fund with approval of the patients. Rules forbid Gray Ladies from accepting gifts from patients.

I enjoyed researching some history on the place. It would be cool to hear some stories from your grandmother if she has any.
