As much as I'm aginst it I thought we should leave a little peice of paper taped up saying "And Thank YOU for leaving this!" but alais better judgement interceeded again.

Actually, IIRC, the water park was not closed for good in 86. After the little scandal, it was sold and operated as a non Christian waterpark. It was still open until at least 1997 - it may have been open for at least part of 98 as well. Unfortunately, it was probably just too close to Carowinds and their water park to be a draw. Great pictures!

I would think that that date is about right, because all of the overgrowth looks like it would take about that long.
