Looks like a mimeograph machine. It's an old poorman's copier -- you ink a stencil sheet and run off duplicates of things like announcements or activity sheets. Big in the 60s and 70s, before photocopiers.

From the dictionary (mimeograph): A duplicator that makes copies of written, drawn, or typed material from a stencil that is fitted around an inked drum. Used one in fifth grade. Got ink everywhere, of course.

Gestetener is a brand name just like Xerox. Gestetener still makes high-end copiers
