I saw this location 2Xtreme posted and since I was working across the street, I decided on a quick bike trip. I only had an hour or so of daylight remaining but felt confident that I could find a secret long lost pride of albino tigers or family of chimpanzese or something.(Yeah, right...) I had checked out the site on Google Earth and it looked really interesting. Unfortunately, I didn't see any of the cool stuff 2X photographed and got covered in those crappy little burs that stick in your leg hairs. They ruin socks, too but since I hate shoes and nearly never wear them, that wasn't a problem. I soon found out that there are much worse things than shoes and cutoffs, no shirt and barefoot is not the way to explore any place near a waterway in Texas. Too much thistle and crap. ANYhow, I'm gonna go back again when I have more time and take a GPS and a map and try to see everything.
