I was down in London in July 2006 for a friend's wedding, and luckily happenend to be driving through Thamesford. This site immediately caught my eye, and I turned around and pulled off the road right then and there. I took a couple of quick outdoor shots, but we were running late so we had to leave.

We had to drive right by later that day to pick up a dress from a local seamstress, so I stopped by again (parking practically right in front - nobody seems to care), but after peeking inside and getting a couple more shots my batteries died - ARGH.

So the next day, on our way home, I came prepared (read: lots of fresh batteries). I wandered through all three levels of the place (although there are some rickety, narrow stairs leading to the top floor). Overall though, the place is in fairly good structural shape. It is also a gold mine for photographers... I am only an amateur and still came away with some decent shots.

After an hour or so my wife was getting impatient (and worried that I had died), so I begrudgingly made my way out. Overall I probably only covered half of the location, if that, so it goes without saying that I'll have to make a return trip someday. I've seen other photos of this place online (noteably some guys called "UEL" http://uel.minimanga.com/mill/index.html) and it looks like there is still plenty left to see.
