The "Sunday Drive"

After a full working career for more years than I care to mention, I've become reacquainted with the habit of a "Sunday Drive". As a working adult and a home owner ("Home owners never get a day off"), It took a real mental effort to temporarily forget about anything else, get in the car with some gear, and just GO. After a year of doing just that (barring emergency or snow removal), I've created the habit.

Here in the hill towns of Western Mass. there is much to see. After hitting the abandonments that I can literally walk to, (There were 4), I began to branch out. Heading nortwest one Sunday, I came across these old barns. They are right in the center of town so small you don't realize you're in the center. Asking around about the owners got me nowhere so I just went in and took my pics.

If you're in the area check it out, also on a nearby road you can see the Knightville Dam, which has some interesting views.
