Oak Cliff Church Of Christ

I got an email from a local magazine asking if I had any photos of the inside of this old church. It's in the middle of a controversy about possibly being either considered as a historical site or being demolished to make room for a new school. It's been on my short list for a while and I figured I'd go by. When I got there on a Friday afternoon, it was drizzling rain, which I like as most people stay inside and don't bother looking out much. There was a workman on the side of the building loading a truck with scrap lumber and I slid in while he wasn't looking. The place is bare walls now. I was a couple weeks too late but it was still pretty cool. When I left, there was a van parked at my entry point and the driver asked whet I was doing and I told him I was just taking photos of the inside. He asked if I had signed a waiver from liability and I said "Sure". He started to pursue more questioning as to the legality of my entry and I advised him that, since the local judge had called a halt to the demolition for 6 months, he was breaking the law by being there as well. He said they were just cleaning up and I said that it was unlawful for him to remove so much as a piece of wood according to the court order. He decided he should call his boss and I said I was going to get some lunch and walked away.
The end.
