This truck stop was purchased by a family in 2010 and spent quite a bit of money renovating it, as well as refinancing the Church's Chicken outlet. In addition they closed the attached chrome shop and moved it into the main C-Store.

At the same time the family purchased the closed truck stop across the highway (on the east side) and bulldozed it.

The truck traffic into the stop has picked up, however their diesel sales are not that great since they are not part of a national chain. From talking to one of the owners they are trying to join the AmBest network which will allow them to get more diesel sales via contracts.

The lot is nearly 75% full on most nights as the parking on I35 for trucks has gone down hill since they closed many of the picnic areas where trucks usually parked. And the Church's gets tons of business.

I know I stop at this TS nearly every time I'm heading down I35.
