Me and a few of my friends used to do that all the time. we had this one old abandoned hospital that was way cool, tons of stuff left in it and it was just spiffy. but unfortunately they tore it down. the damners. apparently it had all these health hazards and crap like that. when they tore it down they had guys in there with gas masks and crap on. kind of suprising really, it seemed all right to us. i persoanlly think they were making too big of a deal about it. but hey, maybe we could have died. thats what makes it great though. at least to me.. so ill stop boring you. great site. It may be aired nationwide this weekend, if the network got enough interest about it. So keep an eye on CTV news this weekend, sunday probably, and you may see us ;) Date: Thu Jan 2 14:48:34 EST 2003 Name: -=HR=-Rage Location: durham Homepage: working on it Comment: Hey guys nice site I come here everyday and i seem to find something a haven't read yet, i enjoy reading your experiences in UE I've been doing UE for a year and a bit now but just recently found the internet is full of people interestd in the same things as i am. You people need some better protective gear; like a C4 gas mask (get new M95 filters, not surplus crap). If you can't get the C4 mask, get the old M69 with an apapter to use 40mm NATO filters. Make sure you test the mask with some "bannana oil." Also, some sort of chem suit might be a good idea - the British make good ones that have a hood, they will protect you from nasty chemical stuff and also have a hood. You sould also wear chemical handeling gloves, and steal-toe work boots. All this stuff but the boots are relatively cheap - especially for the protection they provide. I used to do this kind of stuff myself, I wish I had access to protective equipment back then, screwed my lungs up on occasion and some strange rashes on my hands from not having serious chem-resistant gloves. Good Luck. Date: Thu Dec 19 10:58:00 EST 2002 Name: Snee Location: UEC Homepage: Comment: Jester -- oops. Yeah. We did. Actually in the last few months we've been contacted by about three different Canadians wanting to make documentaries so I can't guarantee any of them were the same one you're talking about. It seems likely, though. Generally we just tell them that we don't really have the time or incentive to go film anything with them but if we can help them out by answering any questions or pointing them to other resources we'd be all too glad too. ^-^ Date: Wed Dec 18 21:32:43 EST 2002 Name: Shane Location: Canada Homepage: http://www.canadianheritagealliance.com/forum/index.php Comment: Nice Site . |
