The Urban Adventure Site

The Last Days3rd February 2002

I was lucky enough to have a dispatcher arrange for me to take a rig up past the same place that the Industrial giant was located. I parked the rig right beside the building and snuck in. Entering the north side of the building I discovered a double story store room that was the largest room in the complex. I also re-explored the machinery tunnel with a torch. I discovered a stairway leading up to it from the Dark Passage below. I was not on site for long, I had a cargo to deliver.

Early morning shot, the 22 wheeler is parked outside.
The size of this room is very hard to gauge. It is bigger than the Exit room, though not higher.

More of that big room. It resembles a huge underground carpark.

The upstairs store room looks just the same.

This starts to give you an idea of the size of the place.

Sneaking back up into the Machinery hall I photograph air con equipment.

Inside of an air con plant.

Some of the vent fans have started being disassembled.

Part of this air con duct has been removed.

Classic air con machinery

Air con vent equipment from the side. The motor is about the size of a basketball.

Neat electrical equipment.

More air con fans

Side view of those pipes and valves.

Open and inviting doors. I suppose that gaffa tape is an accepted engineering practice.

Inside an air con cooling tower.

The tool shelf again

Cool tools. Including some massive probe thermostats.

Valves, jars of silica crystals and leaking hydrochloric acid jars.

Close up on the valve with silica jar on left.

Metal work rack.

Shelves full of stuff including large wrenches and pry bars.

Small wash room in the air venting areas.

Colour coded heavy duty power distribution system.

Power distribution cabinets.

Large scale capacitors? Batteries? Surge arrestors? Something lethal looking.

More electrical stuff

Whoops, left my pass at home

The air con at the southern exit of the Exit room.
