| | | My wife has had severe panic disorder for the last 5 years, started out going to the emergency room a few times, it was a struggle to get a correct diagnosis, her symptoms were just like yours, went thru a few doctors and specialists, but she/we have learned a lot thru all the mistakes, and all the years. Feel free to PM Me, if you would like to talk with her, she has said she'd like to help, but does not have a UER account.

| | | You can also use benadryl for the same thing. Some doctors don't like to give Ativan, so as an over the counter measure, you can use that. My mom deals with the panic thing, as does my sister, but my sister is on a ton of other meds, so benadryl is actually safer for her than the ativan and her own doctor recommended it. So, you can give that a try, unless you can get a real diagnosis for panic disorder. Shael

| | | I went through the same symptoms, had all the tests done numerous times, and everything came back good. At the time I was convinced that my heart was going to stop or explode, I was actually afraid to breath too deeply. Anyway, after a little while, it all went away.... looking back at that time of my life, my stress level was through the roof, so I kind of feel it was that. At the time, I didn't really realize how much stress I was under, I made a drastic lifestyle change and it was the best decision of my life. I gave up a career after 14 years, went into business for myself, worked a fraction of the hours, and made about 1/2 the amount of money, but have spent so much time with my family. Give us an update, how do you feel now?
