| | | Posted by jeepdave Any work being done in the building such as remodeling? Any one have a life changing event like illness or surgery?
| No illness or surgery. They rearranged their furniture from room to room. That was the extent of any kind remodeling. Posted by Brind I'm curious about what counts as "hauntings".
| First it was simple things that they ignored. Knocking, things being moved, chills with no drafts or open windows etc. Later they both started to feel as though something was tapping them while they slept. One of them felt as though it was trying to choke her in the middle of the night. It constantly saps the energy out of electrical equipment, they've gotten "voices", and I know this sounds farfetched, but they got orbs on camera. My boyfriend and I went over to see what was going on one night. Our friend got his HD camera with IR sensor, turned out the lights, and we asked "it" a few questions. When he asked it to use the energy of the camera to make an appearance of some sort, a little orb of light flew around and the IR sensor lost about a third of it's power. This has happened a few times. More things have happened too. Our friends girlfriend heard a womans voice mumbling about a week ago. No one was home, no TV or radio, no one outside. She said it also sounded like it was coming from a few feet away from her. Just last night the four of us were sitting in the living room eating dinner and we heard a female voice start humming. Again, no one home, no TV, no one outside, and it sounded like it was right next to us. Also! Aside from orbs, it makes other visual appearances. Our couple friend and my boyfriend have all seen a mist of some sort. No one smokes. No candles, etc. No one's ever seen anything like that before inside. The couple have also seen a human figure peeking over at them from the entrance to their kitchen a few times. Apparently it looked to be like an arm and the side of someone's head. On new years eve the two of them invited over a couple they hadn't seen in a while. Their baby kept staring off into space and laughing at something. They didn't think much of it at first because kids do weird things. Later on he asked him to look down in the basement just to see how dark it was. He opened the door a crack, then slammed it shut and walked back to the living room to sit down and refused to look again. Apparently he felt as though some powerful force had flown up at him. Now this guy also never had anything "paranormal" happen to him. All of them were skeptics. So far everyone who's gone there has experienced something "unexplainable".

| | | You might want to contact your local police department too, usually they'll invest in a good medium, I know, it sounds hokey and they might not admit to it, but most police departments that do anything with crime solving will employ someone, even if they don't talk about it. They'll just call him or her a "consultant". Usually it's someone who's been right on the money more than once and a reliable person. Call the person they refer you to and get them to come look at the situation. Also, it could be something personal. I have an odd story, I've been seeing Sam for almost 3 years, in that time, I have returned home to find locked and closed windows wide open in my upstairs bedrooms. I live in Sam's grandparent's old house, it was remodeled back in 1994 and we moved in soon after. Nothing odd happened before I started seeing Samurai. Apparently the former residents didn't care about the remodeling, but care that I'm seeing their grandson. Not sure whether it's good or bad, they haven't done anything else but leave my windows open. So, it could even be something as simple as that. Shael

| | | Yeah, apparently he did. Usually it's on the coldest days of the year too. Also, you might wanna check your local library for any information on the building as far back as when it was built. There might be newspaper clippings and other stuff that could indicate violent activity in the building. Also, I'd start looking for floorplans. Contact the local zoning board and local records offices to see if there's any records like that which are accessible to the public. Usually when a building was built in most cities and towns, there's a copy of the original floorplan on file with a city or county agency. There could be anything, from false walls to rooms that were sealed off. They should allow you to take a copy and with it, you can trace the original floorplan of the building and see if there's anything "missing" from that apartment. I know, Occam's Razor says the simplest explanation is usually the right one, but it's an option when all else fails and you can't find out what's causing it. It could be something hidden if there's no history of antiquities or other material coming into the apartment. Even something wallpapered or painted over. Shael

He's been documenting a lot. I don't know what he plans to do with all they caught when it's all over though.
| I'd do what they do on Ghost Hunters, and go through it all meticulously, on a big monitor, and see what they come up with. Not so much for evidence, but for trying to get a handle on what it is. I'm a skeptic, but I'm also open-minded enough to allow that it could indeed be paranormal, but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion unless EVERY natural possibility was exhausted, and even then I'd be like "Well, it could be paranormal, but..."
