Squid gets gun drawn on him, then hit with wiretapping < on 7/22/2010 6:26 AM > | Reply with Quote
Here is what happened:
And heres the long version, showing him weaving through traffic and hitting 130mph:
This happened in Maryland, where there is an "all parties consent" law regarding video and photography. More than a month after he posted the video on Youtube, cops showed up at this guys house and hit him with two more traffic offenses and felony wiretapping charges (filming an officer) and cofiscated his computers and cameras.

he is stupid for riding like that and taping it. don't ride like a dick in traffic. as far as the wiretapping charges go. if they pass that law in my state i can pull the trigger on a camera or a gun. and if they outlaw my camera...

I have to agree with 400
If some unmarked yuppie cop asshole pulled his weapon like that around here he could get a couple rounds through the chest before he remembered to ID himself as a lawman
guess he felt it was his sworn duty to apprehend a traffic violator before he could violate one more lane violation...
some of these new cops have got hero syndrome or just get power hungry with that heavy badge they carry
so the kids a squid no reason to draw down on him he'll probably crash and take out an innocent family of guardrails or utility poles someday

Posted by cr400 How is it illegal to record a public employee in a public place?
What Nazi state is this in?
What law are they enforcing? Wire tapping seems like a stretch!!!
I hate it when the people who work for me, act like they can make up their own laws.
Maryland, Massachusetts, and Illinois have the law, and I'm pretty sure it goes for ALL people, not just cops. Once cops get involved then they turn it into wiretapping. Its really stupid.
