How to: Post photos without using the image or gallery uploader < on 5/8/2011 12:00 AM >
I had 3 different people message me last week asking for help with posting images on the forums without using the gallery editor so I made a quick little youtube video outlining how to post images hosted elsewhere.
3. Find and select the pictures you want to upload. Click and drag to highlight and upload more than one photo, or press CTRL and click to select specific photos. When you're done picking, click Open and Photobucket will automatically upload your pictures.
4. When the upload is done, click on 'Save and return to album.'
5. Hover your cursor over the image you want to post. When the frame pops up around the image, click on the line of code in the IMG code box, ignore all the other codes.
6. Go back to UER, and in your post, hit CTRL and V to paste the code into your post. when you are done typing your post, click on spell check and reply like normal. Some browsers will show the photos in the preview pane, some will, if yours does not, as long as you've done everything correctly, fear not, they will show up when you actually post. Page two shows how to post from Flickr, show photos downsized on here, and link to the larger picture directly. Full of win. Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy. -George Carlin (1937 - 2008)

Or maybe the rookies should go read the entire rookie thread? Probably too much to ask for... Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy. -George Carlin (1937 - 2008)
