| | | A friend recently told me this place was coming down, so I went to check it out. If only I'd been a few weeks earlier! I think this was a film studio, but it had been used by a construction company for the past two years or so as storage, likely for the new Chorus and George Brown buildings next door. Not much left to see or explore, but I'm glad I got to see what was left. 1.

| | | Up close, the building has so much more character than when seen from afar, with an interesting form, proportions, and windows. It's this subtlety that seems British in a way, probably attributable to the more conservative decade when it was built. From afar, it would fade into the apparent industrial wasteland that's now being transformed into a great new waterfront neighbourhood. It looks quite interesting from Sherbourne Common, where its red brick contrasts with the glass architecture going up around it. The photos make it look as though they're saving the facade, but it's probably just being demolished in phases, perhaps to maximize the recycling of materials.

| | | That place was supposed to come down years ago, I totally gave up on it, even though it's just been sitting there.
