Another piece of history has been shut down leaving only memories and nostalgia. This drive in closed for the last time at the end of last summer due to a large chain buy out of the local theatres. It was odd being in there with everything wrapped and still set up as if they were ready to open again for the new season. Although everything looks pristine, just one winter has already begun taking it's toll with some water leakage and ceiling tiles falling. One of my best memories of this drive in was going to see the original Star Wars in 1977 with my dad...he fell asleep within the first 20 minutes, but I'll never forget that he actually took the time to take me.
