A facility south of Ottawa. A plaque on the wall indicates this was a nursing home. This place has been named "The Palace" by the Allison family of 10 since they purchased in 2002. A fire ravaged the upstairs office, pictured in the aerial photo of the property, the roof and the kitchen in 2009, effectively the entire centre block. The Palace featured 22 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. Repairs were being done in 2012 but appears to have come to an abrupt halt for a yet to be determined reason. An attempt was made to change the zoning of the property from Institutional to Highway Commercial at around the same time, but no final result could be located. Plenty of legal and financial information left on site.
Absolutely no information found that could show the relationship between the property and the military, considering the amount of military items found on site.
There are 2 rooms on the south of the property that appear to have been converted to storage lockers since the doors can't be opened from inside the building and have padlocked sliding doors on the outside.
