Nothing ambitious, just a little afternoon trip in the backyard. 300' adit from the '20s, reworked in the '70s, dodgy timbers, some neat malachite staining. Why is there always an empty (Lucky) beer can at the end of every tunnel?

Last standing remains of a government Leper colony, just off the southern tip of Vancouver Island it operated from 1894 to 1924, all Lepers were Chinese immigrants, and all were completely isolated to the island, many died on the island.

Unsuccessfully scoped this place last summer, and by stroke of luck noticed that they were preparing for demolition last week. Unfortunately missed it by one day.
