| | | Posted by DarkAngel Awesome thats acually not that bad! I was thinking about that Tokina too. Thank you! If you shop around, you can get some pretty good deals on Nikon bodies lately. Adorama had the D7200 for $700 (refurb) a month or so ago. Kills me since I paid $1400 for mine new this time last year. The D5300 has almost the same sensor and performance, just isn't weathersealed, autofocus motor, or magnesium framed, but goes as a kit for ~$500 on amazon. IMO, unless you need the upgrades, I'd get the 5300 and spend the rest of the money on a Tokina 11-16 wide angle. Best sub $800 for Nikon DX cameras IMO.

| | | I use a Canon T3i, use either a 50mm prime, or kit lens with cheap wide angle screw on adapter. Also carry a Nikon AW130 point and shoot. It is waterproof, shockproof and sealed against dust, also has GPS tagging. I use it especially when driving around scouting, that GPS feature is nice to help go back to find a place. Also nice to have as a back up if when I get to a place it is raining or dusty , or if I don't want to crawl around with my bigger camera. Recently dropped my T3i out in New Mexico, without a lens on it. Took me a while to get the inside cleaned out, but broke the screen and there is a crack in the viewfinder. Pictures still come out the same after cleaning, but I might look to getting the latest model within the year, T6i?

| Rebel series are good, but not the best. I suggest try and get the 60d/70d/80d if you want some nice photos
