| | | My $500 Ranger failed its e-test so miserably that it fouled the test probe of the e-testing machine. I'm almost proud of it for that. It always had faults for all three O2 sensors, all three were new, wiring between them and the ECM was good, so I'm guessing it was an ECM issue- even fed low voltage from a VW test box to the ECM and watched readings on the scan tool and it read nothing. And it was a one year, 4.0 manual 2WD ECM only... couldn't find one anywhere. Plus it needed spring mounts, all 4 shocks, had a cracked exhaust manifold, etc. It was tired. So I got a Mazda Ranger. It uses about 1/3 of the fuel since it can actually read the O2 sensors! And the Ranger has a potential buyer who wants to fix it up, so that's cool. I'd like to see it live on, it was like a loyal little donkey.
