After a long awaited meet which I had the pleasure of having with a fellow explorer from the forums, I was finally able to break my abandoned interior virginity. It's safe to say I've fallen in love with the adrenaline and serenity that comes with exploring industrial beasts.
There was so much more of this building I would have loved to check out and document, but far too soon into our enjoyment we were interrupted by the single security guard who we'd walked past quite some time before he knew what our intentions were.
Nothing like getting caught for the first time on your first time getting into a building, right? Luckily he seemed pretty uneasy of our precautionary respirator masks (and maybe the lack of his own) and maintained his distance where we exchanged a few pseudo-friendly greetings (and threats on his part) before promptly turning around to leave back the way we entered. Unfortunately, he wasn't one of the rare security guards that I've read about who let slide some daring photographers- but that's okay.
Definitely will be returning in the future with more knowledge under my belt and an actual camera, but my phone will suffice for now. Here's some shots before our fun was cut to a devastating end.
Special thanks to AK for making this happen. Hope to explore again soon!
