| | | And here I thought I could walk away... Posted by Among The Unknown Also @JokerSpecter, I realized. You made 2 BIG mistakes. 1. The UER itself is full of openly shared locations that anyone can see... On the Maps and the forums themselves. It's not just YouTube people sharing places on here.
| The public DB only shows inactive (*) locations, and yes the forums are available reveal some details. Except the people on UER do their part in protecting locations while educating other users on the place but they're doing it here, on UER for others to see. They're not doing any of the things we've talked abut you doing. They are posting content here, not on another site and hyperlinking it. They're not "promoting" their work on a ton of sites. Find one and get dug in. They're not clickbait titling their work to work up an interest. They're not ripping off stickers from lesser explorers in some Monday Night Wars fashion. Posted by Among The Unknown 2. The Proper People have named locations and gave histories as well. "I mean, dude. If The Proper People can do it and not get blasted the way you are, you gotta figure you messed up somewhere."
| Except, the entire point of that statement was to illustrate how they do it the right way. Honestly, they can be a little tighter but they do a damn good job giving the viewer a good idea of what the place was without compromising it. You could be a smartass all you want but where do you think your support is gonna come from if you blackball yourself here?

| Very true, forgot to mention that it's inactive. But think, what if it wasn't inactive? What if most of the stuff that's on here WASN'T demolished? Then what. What would be your opinion then? Name dropped, coordinates/address... Then what? Also, you can still find ones that are active anyway... And get off the whole hyperlinking shit, I get it, that's all done and over with and I stated that I wasn't going to do that again and I'll embed my videos next time. Also, if you look on the videos fourm, I'm not the only one doing it either. There's a lot of people who just post their link and a description and move on just like me. I also stopped using the word "promoting" and just went back to saying "sharing". I was using the word very loosely, but oh well. Also, Sam & Colby aren't lesser known explorers if they have 2 million subscribers... but I have to admit, I didn't know who they were until a friend of mines told em that they're in Pittsburgh... But I ripped their sticker off in protest to what I believed in and plus, they staged the $1000 found in a church in my own home town that I've explored numerous times and I wanted to do something about it. Plus, even if you could just rip it off, stickers are a form of vandalism.

| | | Alright look, and this will be my final comment on here: 1. It’s not spamming. It’s sharing. Sharing on forum pages that are intended for the purpose of sharing whatever you have to offer. Pictures, videos, etc. With me being also a music producer on the side and having a bunch of producers added on my Facebook, I get notifications from people posting in Facebook groups sharing their music (mainly just a track) to people. I don’t mind it. It’s people trying to get other people to listen to their stuff. And in my case, I’m just trying to get people to watch my videos. Just sharing my stuff. Showing what I have to offer and what I've explored. I’m not doing it for the fame what so ever. People have the option to click it or not. It’s their option. Think of TV commercials that say to call a number, you have the option to call the number or not. It’s up to you. Say you go to the store and the cashier asks if you want to donate a dollar to charity, you have the option to donate or not. It’s the same difference. 2. I’ll and the rest of the ATU crew be more careful about the locations and naming them and everything else from now on. Like I said, I’ve only named dropped locations that were VERY well known to the public. Well known to the point that it’s not even necessary anymore to protect its name. Some that are even on websites, articles, even just looking up local stuff in my city, if you scroll down to the bottom the google, the name of the place even shows up. But I will protect the stuff now. And I have absolutely protected the much lesser known locations that not many know of because I want them to be protected and not have vandals going in there and destroying the place. We’ve mainly (since the very last video of season 2 of my channel) explored places that are super well known to the public. I have stated what locations I 100% should had protected, the ones that aren’t necessary to protect, and the ones that I have protected in a comment. You can see that I am taking responsibility for what I’ve done, as well as even apologized for some of the things I’ve done: Posted by Among The Unknown Truthfully in terms of all the videos on my channel, the only true locations I should had protected the name of is both churches in Season 4 of my channel because no one really even knows what those locations are and they're very preserved. Season 5, I should had protected the 2 banks I explored because there's very little videos on it and almost no articles online about it. Other than that, we came up with names for the locations we explored as seen in season 1 & 2. Season 3, we started going to very known locations. The cemetery isn't even abandoned, its a public thing. The nursing home was about to be demolished, I got the location off 2 friends of mine who have also name dropped the location, but didn't think twice about protecting it at the time because that was when we were first really getting into exploring, I do apologize for that. Season 4, Fort Stevens is a public preserved place. Dead Man's Hollow is a public national park in my city, and Blue Mist Road is just a public abandoned street people like to explore as well as a huge urban myth/legend in the city. Season 5, everyone knows these locations but like I said, I definitely should had protected the banks. We have 2 more videos like I mentioned, a hotel that many people know that is beyond destroyed because its wide open and judging by the neighborhood, it didn't surprise us, and a theater that we protected the name of that only people local would know about but even people here barely know about the place, so we kept its actual name secret and only gave the information about what main play was at the theater and we kept it as that. Other than that, we have made sure to protect a lot of the locations we have been to.
