Dude I mean no disrespect but your are NOT "old school" or considered being an "old school" skater if your learned your tricks off of a website. i started skating back in the mid 80's on a banana-board, then when the first fat, trick or pro-skateboards started appearing we made up or learned our own tricks.
As "skaters" were few and far in between, skaters weren't considered "cool" then, we got heckled and called every name in to book. we used to fight with the BMX kids around the area, its easier to beat a kid with a skateboard then a bike! its quite different now, every little shit punk has a skateboard with their lil helmets, elbow and knee pads...! good for you Joey, you are wearing your helmet like your over-protective-soccer-mommy told you too.
We didn't have skateparks like they do now, our skateparks consisted of pieces of wood leaned up against a fences and other shit in construction sites. we would sneak into public outdoor pools in the spring and fall to skate them, we would steal stop signs for their posts- to be use as rails... and keep on going!
After years of injuries and pains, i have taken to longboarding... i may be old but i'm still skating, skate or die!
I am OLD-SCHOOL!
