| | | ok so the Americans (I dont mean all but a majority) elected an illiterate fuck tard to run their country and we all take the piss out of them for it. (we really do, the rest of the world is laughing at you). So I thought as a country England could take the higher stance but no it seems we have gone and elected this cunt to be the London Mayor: MAY I PRESENT .....BORIS JOHNSTON and just some examples of his opinions Johnson made the following comments about Islam in his Spectator column shortly after the July 7 bombings in 2005: "It is time to reassert British values…That means disposing of the first taboo, and accepting that the problem is Islam. Islam is the problem. To any non-Muslim reader of the Koran, Islamophobia — fear of Islam — seems a natural reaction, and, indeed, exactly what that text is intended to provoke. Judged purely on its scripture — to say nothing of what is preached in the mosques — it is the most viciously sectarian of all religions. The trouble with this disgusting arrogance and condescension is that it is widely supported in Koranic texts, and we look in vain for the enlightened Islamic teachers and preachers who will begin the process of reform. What is going on in these mosques and madrasas? "When is someone going to get 18th century on Islam’s mediaeval ass?"[34] In Friends, Voters, Countrymen (2001), Johnson wrote that "if gay marriage was OK - and I was uncertain on the issue - then I saw no reason in principle why a union should not be consecrated between three men, as well as two men, or indeed three men and a dog." seriously is the world coming to an end? also this week Italy has elected a Facist Nazi wannabe, Zimbabwe has agreed to a second round of voting. Its bad enough that in America there is two people who are supposed to be on the same party arguing and campaigning against each other. THE END IS VERY FUCKING NEIGH

| | | Posted by David Dong Why is it that people from other countries(I am talking about civilians BTW) are always wrapped up in our governmental affairs, while we could give two shits how the UK, Canada, or whoever runs their country? Is it because we actually matter and y'all don't, and you all know it?
Just sayin... Most of you guys ned to mind you own countries business before acting like you know how things are here.
There, I said it. |
Sadly, David Dong, other countries, for example Canada, are so closely integrated into what happens with the US it actually affects us. The US and Canada are each other's biggest trade partners, we share a super long border, etc, etc. Believe me, if we could afford to not give a crap about the US, we certainly would. When the power trio of McCain, Clinton and Obama speak out about Canada without knowing what the hell they're talking about, it scares us.

| | | During the summer, I am in Quebec frequently as it has the closest dragstrip. And the US government is fucking it up making it harder and harder to travel freely. Our state governments (New York and Vermont) have basically told the federal government to knock their shit off because it was all about border economies. If you travel into Plattsburgh NY or Burlington VT on any given saturday or sunday, you'd see a huge amount of Quebec plates... these areas depend on border traffic for revenue. And along comes this idiot dope-artment of homeland ass-fuckery that says i need a passport to cross a border, a border with a country that looks like us, talks like us, could be us in a lineup. Ridiculous. Hopefully, if the democrats are elected, they can dismantle this useless government agency and go back to, oh i don't know, sanity?!

| | | Samurai's problem is that he won't break down and actually take his social security card to the DMV and get an enhanced license that they're trying to put into place here, or get a passport. I can't say that I blame him really. Considering I need to renew my passport in about a year and a half and I did a little research...the US government is planning on, if they haven't already, putting RFID chips in new ones. Right now, they rely on a code at the bottom of it, along with a metal strip in the paper to prove authenticity, which is passed through a machine at major crossings and airports which records the number at the bottom, which corresponds in the database with information stored by the State Department. RFID chips bother me to begin with because if someone wanted to, they can track everything you do with the document or everywhere you go with the document in your purse or pocket, by satellite. Which...is a huge invasion of privacy. Not to mention a US passport costs somewhere around 100 dollars to obtain nowadays. I called about a year ago when I thought I lost mine...it would have cost me 97 dollars just to refile the documents and have a replacement sent to me. Renewal is gonna cost me at least 75 bucks plus shipping/handling. I just don't want to lose it because of the hoops I had to jump through to get it the first time. I mean...when the State Department wants you to get a notarized statement from your mother saying that she was there when you were born...that's a little too much. That and they wanted my health insurance cards, dental insurance, learner's permit, any photo ID you could give them and a document from my landlord saying that I'd lived at the address of residence in the US for more than a year.
