| | | Yeah, I'm one of the lucky hypersensitive people to irritating plants. Since 4th grade I've gotten poison ivy EVERY summer, at LEAST once. 7 year itch is partial BS!! I say partial because now, after 14 years I've finally built up a weird type on immunity. I'll get poison ivy still, but it won't spread to parts of my body where the plant hasn't actually touched, even if affected parts touch unaffected parts. Also, it never seems to itch that badly. No worse then what I'd assume a mosquito bite to be (got lucky there, I NEVER get mosquito bites, or they don't show up/itch). Those who have been immune to it in the past will start seeing that change. Besides the fact your skin is constantly changing, higher average temperatures, and higher levels of carbon, make an environment that plants in general thrive in. According to studies done by Nat'l Geo, irritating plants are growing larger and therefore more potent then ever before. But whatever, Tecnu Extreme works wonders, and my immunity serves me well. I can't stand to wear anything but shorts in the summer anyway.
