| | | yeah and it is awesome! I own this one: http://www.m-audio.../Axiom49-main.html and it works great with a few music programs I already used.. such as FL studio 7, and Reason 4. I am not a fan of Ableton Live but it does work well with that too. Awesome stuff you can do with it. Any synth you have on the computer, it can control pretty much. Also, included in yours (and i've got am 8 pad half sized one) is some sampler pads, which is great for drum sequencing, hip hop style sliced sample sequencing, and pad sample sequencing... It was one of the better investments I've made for the home studio. edit: here is the montreal price for the one you posted a picture of: http://www.moogaud...51&products_id=250 hope the person offered it for a good deal.

| | | well i paid $220 CAD for an axiom 49, which is an m-audio 49 key. however it also has some sampler pads, faders, knobs, and a bunch of other buttons. This controller came with ableton live, but I dont use it since I have cubase, reason, fl studio, magix sampletude, and a pile of other programs (which are free off the internet) These programs are nice, but mainly the only thing I need is a solid sequencer, some effects and EQs and stuff like that. Oh, and some VSTs to add some extra sounds here and there.

| | | Posted by RailGuy88 Pro Tools 7.4: If you don't want the I/O interface, just get the USB attachment, and PT will run off of that. Has an excellent MIDI sequencer, full line of free plugins, VST's, and synth plugins to use with it. It has everything that Cubase has, and much more. Check it out at digidesign.com for more info, pics, and videos. (I sound like a sales guy again...)
| you know i might try giving it a shot again.. a couple of years ago I tried downloading it and didn't have much luck with it because it seemed to rely on the interface. But i might give it another shot. Cubase I use mostly for recording around the house.
