A dog is enough for me

Because it poops outside and doesn't require me to wipe it's ass.

I post this because my wife and I have recently decided we don't want to have kids. Just a pack of dogs.

That is an excellent decision, sir. We have four permanent dogs and one foster dog. So, if you need an addition to your pack, let me know.

Well...think carefully about your choice.

If your kid steals your classic '65 Mustang, you're not allowed to beat him. If, however, your dog steals your classic '65 Mustang, you can have the fucker killed, and no one will ever question your decision.

That said, if you don't feed your kids for a week, they'll get listless and really quiet. If you don't feed your dog for a week, it will eat you. A child will eventually learn to use a toilet. A dog will shit on your shoes every day until you kill it. A kid can cut your lawn, clean your garage, detail your classic '65 Mustang. A dog will shit on your lawn, roll in your garbage, but will be an excellent traveling companion in your '65 Mustang.

Children who are raised well still might end up on the news.

This is not the case with dogs.

At least five years of your life will be dedicated to cleaning up piss, shit, and vomit from children.

Most dogs can be trained to go outside in six months or so.

Dogs are considerably cheaper to raise and provide a much greater cost/benefit ratio.

A dog will never scream, "I HATE YOU!" if you do not buy them a Wii or a car.

One is not expected to pay for their dog's wedding or college.

A dog will never steal your jewelry to buy heroin.

If your dog is being loud and whiny, you can put them in a crate, put that crate in the bathroom, and go back to sleep.

A puppy will get you way more chicks than a baby.

Dogs do not want to go to Disneyworld.

Dogs won't get a tramp stamp that reads "Princess" or "Sweet Thing" or worse. In fact, dogs don't care about tattoos in the least.

I made that same choice about not having kids. I never regretted it for a moment. I have always had an average of 3 dogs at a time. The only draw back is they don't live very long.

I was at the Halloween store yesterday watching this toddler, well she was probably 5 or 6 just talking to her parents like they were pieces of shit. Then after that was over, falling on the ground and screaming at the top of her lungs because she couldn't have the costume she wanted.

My dog would never do that, that's for sure.

Children suck. I hate them. Parents suck too. I work in a school and I see them in action everyday. Fucking parents crowd the entire doorways to escort thier children out of the school at the end of the day because they can't let them out of thier sight for a minute. some even wait outside the classroom doors for them. It's so disgusting. I'm not talking about little kids either.

Nan, I grew up like that.

I'm gonna hate to see the kids when they get older, considering all the shit I deal with in my own life from it. My parents were happy to just seem me where I was, at home, in my room, by myself. Sometimes, I think they'd be happier now if I continued to live that way.

I have a parakeet and she is really great. The easiest, most cheerful pet you can have

Too many people underestimate the level of character and loyalty you get from a pet bird.

Yeah. I've had budgies before and they are fun to have around. Especially when they can do wolf whistles and make puking noises when you say "Kentucky Fried Chicken".

As for dogs, hmm.

1) You can spay/neuter a dog and no one will criticize you.

2) You can put a dog on a leash.

3) You don't have to worry about the dog blurting something embarrassing.

Lots of other advantages but I'll keep it to three.

That is just sad. No respect for her elders.

As for dogs not throwing tantrums, Poppy did that a lot when we first got her. She would be twisting and rolling in her leash and then refuse to even get up. Glad the last one was about two years ago.

A lot of the time it's the parents fault for not being strict enough. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Next thing you know, Super Nanny is knocking at your door and you're publicly humiliated.

Parakeets are nasty little fuckers, I work in a pet store. Go for cockatoos (not cockatiels, which are the worst), or possibly African Greys, Quaker Parrots, or Red-bellies.
