New daily driver

Perhaps not a practical vehicle for a daily driver, but I've always wanted one, so I bought this. 1997 4x4 Jeep Wrangler TJ, 140K, 4-cylinder 5-speed stick, 31" tires with a full-size spare on the back, rag-top, half doors.

I absolutely love how simply these things are built. The way the hood hinges and folds all the way back onto the windshield, the manual hood latches on the fenders, the fact that you simply lift the doors up to take them off...Love it.

$3000 by the way.

When I get back from my vacation to Vancouver Island next week, I am going to start looking at a new daily driver. Leaning towards a late 90s Ford Ranger.

the 2.3L twin plugs were uber gutless, but very few were built other than for fleet 2wd service. Most were some V6. The 4.0L was most common and not a bad drivetrain, PROVIDED that you buy the truck with a 5gear. The automatics were shit.

Haven't had it a week and already hit a deer...at 45 mph. Joke's on the deer though, all it did was break the front right turn signal on the fender flare, the right off-road light on the bumper, and tear off the right bumper end cap. The deer, however, turned into a fine red mist.

Take the other bumper cap off. They look better without em.
