I'm one of 5 trained experienced operators on one particular piece of equipment out of over 600 employees Someone from the mill called my house BEFORE I even get home off of my scheduled shift (which I spent helping a coworker operate said piece of equipment for 8 hours) for me to go back into work to run this particular piece of equipment. And I forgot to mention it was for 11-7 shift. They could have asked me to do it on 3-11 today and I MIGHT have said yes, considering 8 hours running a winder at 30 bucks an hour is a sweet ass deal, since running it is pretty much cake on good paper, which is what I would have been running on that shift. Grrr.

It all depends on what trade i guess, and what shops they've been in. I've had WO's that understand better than MCpls.

You could always take that bid in Finishing and leave Assclown and your idiots and broken equipment behind for a new bunch of idiots, a douchebag or two and new broken equipment. It would at least be a change of scenery.
