I've played in two different bands. The first band was called Bitchin' Cowpunk Massacre. It was pretty chaotic, but a lot of fun. Kind of a surf/punk sound with a cowboy/horror theme. :p For the last like, 5 years, I've been the guitarist in a Ramones tribute band called the Ramores. We're playing our final show *sniff* in the middle of March (before I move to Japan). edit:
This is Bitchin' Cowpunk Massacre, I'm on the right.

Wow, I'm not sure I can remember all the bands. I'm guessing around 15 or sao. Started doing this when I was 17, and I'm 39 now, so you do the math. I've played in blues, metal, hard rock, classic rock, pop, and punk bands. Currently playing Top 40 (making me sick) because around here frat parties are the only paying gigs.

same here... but i'm 15, so... oh, and all of the guys that play with us are into ue, so we may use a ue- based name.
This is the way the world ends. |

I second that idea... I have contemplated making my own band of Turntablists - just no-one's good enough Close By to get in...

Oh and BTW: A turntablist is someone who makes music with records, Drum Kicks, samples, NOT JUST "AWW" OR "FRESH" to make beats, rythems, and compositions... Listen to X-Ecutionerz latest album "Revolutions" if in doubt...

I was in the following: Band Name | Genre -------------------------------------------------- Break The Promise | Metal Shattered | Alternative Nobis | Alternative For Reasons Unknown | Punk Hillbilly Dreams | Rockabilly Fire it up! | Country I dream of sunseeds | Experimental
That's about it...I have been playing guitar for 15 years and have been singing for longer... AX

I'm attempting to organize 3 bands right now, but we all have the same problem: the lack of a drummer. We have no lack of lead guitarists, so sometimes one of them will step in as drummer when we jam.
|
|
I wish!!! The problem is... I have no vocals or any instruments!! I am a one-woman band !!

Just forming another one. 80's cover band. The last one (Tope 40) lost the bass player to service in Iraq, and the drummer to a baby and a day job. This time, its my deal. I have the rehearsal space, I'll get the gigs, I'll handle the money. We'll have some organization this time around.

well a buddy and I have been making a bit of trip hop, lounge, and a bit of jungle DnB style stuff using software but it takes a lot of time. he also plays percussion in a mixed band and does shows.

i've played in many different bands throughout the years. first one was about 5 years ago. after that, there were about 4 or 5 more, and the latest two were an 80s influenced heavy/technical metal band, and a Scandinavian Influenced metal band. the last one broke apart because everyone got into this lame "i want to play hardcore music/open dropped C chugging for entire songs" phase, except the bassist and I, so we quit. the band feel apart shortly after. its a shame, i we were getting pretty big playing nightclubs and stuff, and i enjoyed it.

yes 1 band, we did covers and originals. We were sort of folk rock. I quit because i had musical differences with everyone. One of the guys in the band turned out to be a jerk anyways.

This summer is gonna be sweet, my friend's mom is gonna be gone all summer so we are converting his basement into a Jam room! Gonna be Gnarly.

Yes.. I was in a band once, but I dropped out.. now I just kinda stay friends with people who prefer being in a band, and maybe play with em from time to time.. but I don't know, I guess I'm not much for playing with a band.. though I do enjoy playing with other musicians. (Even though I very rarely even touch my guitar anymore).

Played in bands from 1983 until about 2003 or so, off an on. Highlight of my music career was opening for Ian Moore. Most of the bands sucked, or imploded due to personalities. One of two I was somewhat pround of. Prog rock, blues, hippie jam band, and a wierd blues/punk fusion band that was really pretty good. I played Keyboard, Harmonica, Electric Violin, and sang in one band because I had become so fed up with lead singers I couldn't take another one. Now I'm a music critic for one of the papers I write/shoot for, and I shoot promo/concert shots of bands so I'm still involved with local music...but I've given all my gear to my kid and I don't play anymore.

Was just in a metal band called Tomorrow Breaks, but the lead guitarist was pretty much the leader of the band and called all the shots, but was awful at guitar and wants to be killswitch engage. Now I'm in a hard rock band called Junior Crime Fighters.
