Two fabulous and drop-dead gorgeous young men who used to live downstairs from us played Whitney Huston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody one night, and it took a week for the song to stop playing in my head.

If they hadn't been so good looking and partially naked all the time, I would have killed them.

Silver Springs by Fleetwood Mac, 21 days.

Bridge to Nowhere, by Sam Roberts, 5 days.

Lucky Number, by Lena Lovitch, 10 days.

Don't You Forget About Me, Simple Minds, 14 days.

I keep a record of this shit, cuz if I ever have a chance to meet the people who wrote these songs, I can tell them that they have tortured me.

Except for Sam Roberts. He's an old friend, and I don't mind if he fucks with my head.

Whitney Huston isn't an old friend, so I won't feel too bad when I piss all over her shoes.

Currently have a Geto Boys lyric in my mind: Doin' crime in H-town in my prime. Robbed the same muthafuckas 4 and 5 times. Where was the cops when I was rippin' off dividend? Out writing tickets to hard workin' citizens.

So awesome.

The Mars Volta - The Widow

Gah. So addictive. Heard it first when I was high as a kite and now I can't get it out of my head. It's been playing itself over and over again, even as I try to get to sleep.
