Does anybody have any updated information about this place? How is the accessibility?

I have been going there off and on for the past couple of weeks doing my photography final project. its really easy to get into . theres no real security other than the fence that goes around the main building. i highly recommend going to see it ...theres a lot of really scenic stuff and its a nice place. theyre making condos or something out of them so theyre in the process of refurbishing it. you can go to the pagoda type building in front and get maps if you talk to the sales office. theyre pretty cool about letting you roam the grounds as long as you let them know and dont go in the main building. most of the flooring is missing from what i can see from the outside so i actually listened to them. plus i needed the shoot so i didnt want to ruffle any feathers. in about a week when my final time is up ill have time to post my pics and actually participate more on the board. if you have any questions let me know

I went there not too long ago scouting, and they had a perimeter fence around as well as a lot of scaffolding. I think I may actually look into buying a place there...assuming I can afford it!!! Anyhow, it looks like they're going to be doing a lot of work there and I'm not sure if I want to sneak around a bunch of workers...But who knows, it might be worth it.

We cant come down and check it out until mid-September, as I am getting ready to leave for 2 weeks in Hawaii. However, I can send u a message when we decide to come down and if u want to meet up there we can to check it out.

I live done the street from here and wanted to buy a places there also. The homes are close to the $1,000,000.00. This is about 700k past what we can pay.

I agree. But I think this is a special case. If it were not for the condo project, the seminary would have seen much worse circumstances. I grew up a mile away and revisited recently. Parts that had been left to decay beyond all hope of repairing were very, very well reconstructed. Throughout the last 20 years every preservation project has failed. During those years I saw the place fall more and more into oblivion. It wasn't until the preservation project conducted by the condo company that I saw a glimmer of hope for this gem's survival. And the best thing about it is the people moving in are all lovers of the site. Hell, I seriously even considered becoming by-costal just to live there.

I went by there back in May since it is less than 10 miles from where I live and most of the building have been renovated. There are still a couple being worked on and some that haven't been touched. There are people living there so I did a little sneaking around one night. If you see somebody just act like you live there and all will be fine. The renovations are actually looking good. However, they have torn down some of the better features.
