| | | My current daily. 1992 Nissan GQ Patrol ST model Engine: TD42 (diesel) 330000kms 5 speed manual Part time 4wd, rear LSD, coils all round Mods: Dual batteries, snorkel, fish oil coated metal surfaces behind trim, etc (for rust protection on beach trips), UHF and 27mHz radios and a shiny bullbar :) Mid range 'ST' model, includes carpet, power windows and central locking. Tinted windows are great, adding extra 'coolness' factor, interior is in quite good shape, very tidy car, it drinks far too much, around 17L/100km but am taking it to a mechanic for a much needed tune. Drives well cruises comfortably at 100(km/h) and can over take at 100 as well :) (relevance in relation to the car below). Drivers side door window rattles when its down (needs new rubber I think). My ex-daily (read: Project) 1996 Nissan GQ Patrol DX model Engine: RD28T (turbo diesel) 260000kms 5 speed manual Part time 4wd, rear LSD, coils all round Mods: Custom dings and scratches on R/H sills and behind fuel filler lid, UHF, slightly saggy coils. Base model featuring vinyl floors, manual window and central locking. It's seen its fair share of 4wding and has the scars (and videos) to prove it. Powered by the almighty (lol) 2.8L turbo diesel it jumps from the blocks to sprint to the 100km/hr mark in, I dunno, the stop watch broke. Power comes in higher up in the rev range and the acceleration is greatly increased in this area (2200-4000rpm) and makes for a different experience than its 4.2L N/A counterpart. It takes a nice long stretch of road, downhill and with tailwind to coax the car into going a little bit faster to over take other vehicles at 100. Drivers side seat, vinyl is cracking on the wing from entering and exiting the car. It has a cast ally transmission as the motor and box were also used in R31 Skylines (proof: wikipedia and other forums). The box is therefore weaker than the TD42 box which is cast iron. Currently it is sitting idle as I am rebuilding another TD42 motor which I am going to twin turbo (sequential), intercool and enjoy I gave the review a shot and there is the results
