I'd take it. It's that simple. Its owners don't deserve it. As someone in that thread said, they ran the vin, and it wasn't stolen.

As Sam has said... when it comes to cars, fuck ethics.

...because it's a DeLorean?

(in all honesty, would these cars be sought after if they hadn't starred in a very successful movie franchise?)

I think so. I thought the movie made the car look really stupid.

I liked the DMC-12 before I even knew BTTF existed.

I used to live right around the corner from DeLorean's Cadillac dealership. They had five or six rotting away on their back lot, including one painted red.

Cool car. Terrible car from a performance, reliability, and engineering stand point. But still cool.

If that's the one I'm thinking of Delorean's brother owns that dealership and as of last check (2006) there were still a few old dealerships around that had some rotting away in the back most were returned cars a few parts cars and I have even seen a few unsold ones that just got pushed into the grass and left there.

I had a customer with one when I worked at the Porsche shop. It was pretty pleasant to work on.

He was the original owner, and his biggest regret was having a car phone installed in 1990.

I met the owner of a DMC-12 out in Tillamook, Oregon. He runs oddly the United Rentals in town and inherited the car from his father who bought it brand new in '82! It's pretty much stock still: the only thing upgraded was the alternator as he put in a better stereo system.

It's no longer there. It was DeLorean Cadillac in Lakewood, OH.
