well, at about 1:30am last night, I nuked a deer outside the quiet hamlet of Crown Point NY on lovely NY Route 9N/22... oh yes, friends and neighbors did it ever fuck my car up. The parts list so far (just from what I could see):

bumper scuffed
hood dented
passenger side fender destroyed
passenger front door destroyed
passenger rear door destroyed
quarter panel destroyed
passenger mirror gone
smashed the passenger side of the windshield

the body guy and I estimated about $7-7500 worth of damage.
yay me.

Cars can be replaced. People can't. I'm glad you're OK. You are OK, right?

Remember when my step-dad hit the deer with the Hyundai? He lost the radiator and nearly the whole front end, there was like a puddle of coolant and oil beneath the fucking thing on Route 9 near Bigelow's cornfields. You got off easy Sam. We replaced damn near everything but the engine block after that. I'm surprised the airbags didn't go off.

To top it all off, the fucking thing had to go back to the dealer for repairs or the warranty was void.

I think the new MulletMobile rocks. Plus limited slip rear in the snow will keep things interesting.....

Again, glad you're ok..

I don't think it's cursed. I think it's just a run of bad luck...which I think is infecting all of us.

I usually am due for an October surprise...which I already got. Usually somebody very close to me gets sick or dies this time of the year, or a car gets wrecked, or some bullshit thing that no one can fathom actually happening, happens.

For example, my stepdad having a serious heart attack and nearly dying, the hyundai was wrecked also in October, my mother got ill and had to be hospitalized two years ago, my grandmother passing away five years ago, my father passing away on the 3rd of November...it just goes on an on.

If you want, blame me for the past two weeks.

Just a warning...the October surprise goes into the first week of November...so watch out for another two and a half weeks.
