Yeah the quality of the 300D is hard for anyone including MB to surpass. The W123 chassis is most likely the only car you can bet on finding parts ANYWHERE including the third world, they are literally in service everywhere to this day. Well see how this one does.

I believe it most likely broke piston rings on Cyl #4. Started using crazy amounts of oil out of nowhere and fouling #4 spark plug. Took it into the dealer and they diagnosed it enough to know the engine is shot but unfortunately Kia denied warranty on it despite providing impeccable service documentation. Did some poking around and it seems that this is Kia's MO on these vehicles, there is a problem with the 2.4L but they will not stand behind it. Found at least 7-800 reports of the same problem with the same answer from Kia. I dumped it while it still ran with no outward signs of an issue. I could have gone the lawyer route but decided to just take a loss and get out of the POS. I will never buy another Kia or Hyundai product as long as I live after this, I bought the thing new and did every service at half the recommended interval.

I could have fixed it myself with a used engine but i took less of a loss on trade in than a used engine would have cost.

and what did mean old Samurai tell you was going to happen with your Kia when you bought it? Hmmmm? That's right... TOLD. YOU. SO. But no, no one listens to me... i'm just going to sit over here and look retarded.

hahaha truth. Was a good car until this happened LOL. Figured it would be fine with the warranty, wasnt betting on them trying everything in their power to deny it....
