Yes long distance relationships suck. I refuse to be in any exclusive long distance relationships. You just can't see each other often enough.

I've never really understood how people can have long distance relationships. I guess it's cause I'm too much of a touchy feely kind of person. I need to be hugged and kissed alot. It's kind of reassurement for me.

But what the hell do I know about relationships?

Somehow I always end up in long distance relationships. It's almost like there's something about dating me that causes girls to move to another state.

I really don't mind doing the whole long-distance thing though, I guess I got used to it over time.

I am somewhat opposed to the whole long distance relationship thing, and would not initiate one. If a girl were to ask me out though, I would probably say yes. There are just some things I cant say no to. PsychoPyro, good luck with yours. I personally do not consider 30 miles to be long distance, but I live in the suburbs. I consider 60 miles and more to be long distance.

Here, here. Been dating her for almost 3 years, two of which have been spent long-distance.

Sometimes you just have to put up with a long distance relationship. There are circumstances in which you cannot control--no matter how much you want to. I'm currently in a a relationship in which I am here in Washington State & he is in North Carolina--opposite sides of the country. He wants me to move there & I want to, also. However, I am not going to move without a good job--preferably with the company I am currently employed with. I am constantly looking for good jobs (those that have equivalent pay & benefits) but nothing has come up so far. I am lucky that he understands, supports my decision & isn't pressuring me to move there now. It is hard since we dont see each other much...but we do constantly talk to each other either by phone or via computer. We both trust each other completely. I know an opportunity will come up if I'm persistent... All I can do is wait & keep looking.

Be glad it's only 30 miles. The girl I've fallen for lives about 1,500 miles away. We used to both live in Texas, but then she moved to California years ago. However, she just visited two weeks ago and now I've realized I'm head over heels for her. I plan on moving up there, even though I have hardly any money and it costs a fortune to live up there. But I'm sure I find a way somehow. Chin up, Pyro, if you love someone enough things will work out.

Edit: Typo

I just have to say I'm in a long distance relationsip right now that not the girl is 404 miles/650 km away from me, I have to cross a international border to see her.

I've met her on UER, her nick is Emotionless. I live near Schenectady, NY and she's in Whitby, Ontario. We've made it work pretty well actually. I visit her once a month and stay for 5 days and I got to tell you, its amazing how much fun you can have in 5 days that does the trick. We of course, talk everyday just about over the internet and phone.

I of course, take the train to see her. Amtrak runs a train from New York City all the way to Toronto and back every day that I catch from Rome, NY or Schenectady.

My suggestion is to simply create plan.

Skell, you're the man! It's nice when people have a relationship that is trusting enough to let time and distance mean nothing. I've had bad long-distancers in the past... glad to hear a good story out of it for once.
