Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

| | | So I have to pat myself on the back. I pulled a really cool move in Battlefield 2 last night, and I need to tell everyone about it. I play with a group of friends, using TeamSpeak. We were advancing across an open space to take an enemy flag. My squad had moved ahead of me as I spent some time taking out the enemy artillery with C4 packs (I usually play Special Forces, which carries C4 packs and a remote detonator). I was running across an open field, and checked behind me to see an enemy Cobra helicopter bearing down on me, rockets and chaingun firing. I ran towards the chopper, getting under it's line of fire quicker than just letting it pass overhead. The chopper spun on a dime and came at me again. Once again, I ran underneat it and sidestepped, keeping it in my view as the pilot spun around, trying to get me into his gunner's chaingun sites. The pilot then started trying to land on me, as he couldn't seem to get me in front of him to gun me down. I continued to move around, staying behind or beside him as he was literally low enough for me to touch. I had a brainwave. I had one C4 pack left. I switched over to it and ran up beside the spinning chopper, lobbed a pack at it's side and it stuck. The chopper moved off to get some distance from me before coming in for another run (something the pilot should have done ages ago). I turned, switched over to my detonator, typed "See you in hell!" into the chat window, and hit the detonator. ka-BOOM! The Cobra assploded in a spectacular display of pyrotechnics. I added "That's how we do it DOWNTOWN!" and ran off to help capture the control point with my squad. Just a little self congratulation on a tricky manuever well-played. If anyone else here plays BF2, they know how fulfilling it is to pull something like that off. C.
