What do you guys think of the Special Forces expansion? I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and all I can say is "eh." It's a well done expansion pack with cool maps and good weapons, but I'm just not impressed. They could have done so much more... and I don't like the night levels. I don't think it was worth my $30, especially since all that I've been playing recently is Wake 2007...

Discuss.

I bought it last week and haven't had the chance to play the new maps yet. I love the zip line and grapple hook add-ons, as well as the new unlocks you can get for some of the other classes like Medic and SpecOps. The night maps are a little crazy - switching between nightvision and regular sight all the time is a little annoying, like when you're driving down a dark road and passing under street lamps or what-have-you.

Come to think of it, that's the perfect time to hit a vehicle with an RPG.

I'm not as excited as the British add-on... because from what I understand, it's FREE.
http://www.ea.com/...n_06_newsletter_02

I do like the weapons that I've picked up from other people that bought the Special Forces pack but I can't see spending $30 on it. Maybe when it goes down in price. In the meantime I'll continue picking up weapons from people I've killed and just wait for the free content.

Oh, and check my stats on the previous page - I've got half of the silver badges.

yeah. Easiest way to get 15 kills with the sniper kit in one round? suggestions? I'm having difficulty with that veteran badge, otherwise I have two of my veteran badges and finally got my basic c4

Yeah, claymores are your best friend when sniper.

On a related note. I killed a sniper by beaning him in the head with a nade. I know this only because I chucked the nade and then saw:

RTBcpt The_Red_Reaper [Hand Grenade] Dude

And then 2 seconds later it exploded. Oddly enough, whenever I try this with my friends, I throw full strength into their face and nothing happens. Anyone else get this? Maybe it's magic.

Bringing exploration to Clarksville.

I was killed last night when the enemy commander dropped a supply crate right on top of me. Talk about embarassing...

Anyone get Euro Forces? It's only nine bucks, but it's a bitch to install. I had to uninstall BF2, re-install it, install patch 1.21, install Euro Forces, then install patch 1.22. Took ages to figure that out.

Hey Crayon, where've you been? We're still playing on Wednesday nights. We've collected quite the group - there's sometimes seven or eight of us at a time. We really should just start a clan, we're called Easy Company.

School has loaded me with homework, I've got more time now though. My class load is easier as I am done with math and almost done with english. I'll probably be on next wednesday.

BTW, I can hook you up with free hosting and a subdomain for a clan site. I have about 60GB of room on a webserver, 100MB MySQL database room, and 1,000 GB of transfer if needed.

DAMNIT, I installed special forces, and now the sound doesn't work for any of them!

arghhh

I love this game, but it has soo many bugs....

I tried re-installing it and it still does not work.

EA really needs to work on integrating updates with the games, not separately. Took me 4 hours to fix my dilemma last night.
